The Generation X Files

Below is a post that I wrote yesterday (19th Feb). I finished it late and decided not to publish. I’ll let you read it first and we’ll catch up at the end…

Hey everyone, sorry it’s been a while!

It’s hard to explain but I’ve been rendered ‘digitally speechless’ by this year.

I’ve tried several times to write a post but can’t get further than the title.

We’re only two months in to this year and my head is spinning from everything that’s been happening.

I’ve watched the news with growing despair for the last couple of months. My buoyant hopes for humanity have been struggling to keep afloat.

I wrote a whole blog post about it yesterday. I was feeling flat and frustrated by the lack of action over those recently released files.

I haven’t written for a while so I decided to leave it overnight and look at it again today. Boy, am I glad I did!

At the time of me writing this, the Andrew formerly known as Prince, is in custody. He was arrested this morning (on his 66th birthday) and has been detained.

Yesterday I was complaining that “nothing ever happens” so I’ve deleted the draft because…well something just did!

For the last decade or so, I’ve been interested in conspiracy theories. At first I was very skeptical and thought it was all fantastical nonsense.

Now? Well it seems a lot of those things are being confirmed to be true in (redacted) black and white.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not jumping down every rabbit-hole like an over-enthusiastic Alice!

But, it’s becoming increasingly apparent that powerful figures are involved in all kinds of shadiness.

My first reaction was why are they releasing this now? My second was that probably nothing much would happen.

I expected a few resignations and maybe a scapegoat or two to pacify we the ‘sheeple’. I thought the news cycle would be pedalled furiously to move on to something else.

As it turns out, people are still talking about the files (and not about how the Dow is at 50,000! Imagine that!).

I’ve currently got YouTube on in the background and almost every video is about the arrest of the former royal. So, it looks like it’s going to be talked about a lot more!

Does it mean more arrests will happen? Will the victims finally get justice? Who knows….

It’s something though. It makes it harder to ignore. Even so-called ‘normies‘ are talking about it.

I’d like to believe this will end the “rules for thee not for me” world we’ve been living in. That the guilty will be held accountable regardless of their power or position.

I’m realistic though. For now I’ll just take the win that we’re not in fact ‘crazy’ for noticing the truth.

I’m not recycling the tin foil hat just yet though. Just taking it off for a bit. Waiting to see what happens next.

The conspiracy forums are laying their bets on war or aliens next…

I wrote this draft yesterday and wasn’t sure how to conclude it. I half jokingly added that last line as a place-holder. I was planning to change it when I edited the draft today (February 20th).

Imagine my surprise then, when I read this morning that Trump has ordered the release of files on (drum-roll please!) aliens and UFO’s!

So erm…back on goes the tin foil headgear.

I think I’ll publish this before anything else happens! The Generation X Files is going to be out of things to investigate at this rate!

What’s going on? I don’t even know anymore!
